Spiderman Far From Home (2019) Movie Review

Hoi Maders! Alles goed? This afternoon I watched Spiderman Far From Home at cinema. Honestly I don’t fancy Spiderman, but Tom Holland is such a handsome guy and I don’t regret that I watched him here. In fact, Tom Holland is one year younger than me, so he’s like a little brother to me. Hahaha. Okay, enough with that!

This time, Spiderman movie tells us about an adventure when Peter Parker is having a school trip with his friends and two teachers. They go to Europe from America. Peter wants to relax for a while and to declare his love to MJ. But it doesn’t run well because he meets a new enemy, Mysterio.

I think the topic of this movie is about trust. Peter Parker is betrayed when he believes in someone. The moral value from this movie teaches us that we may not believe in someone easily. Yeah, having faith is important but you must be careful towards people you trust.

Next, I’d like to mention about MJ. According to what I read, MJ stands for Michele Jones, not Mary Jane. In this movie, MJ is being played by Zendaya. I love her acting. She’s not weak and not too feminine. The style of her look is also cool. I don’t know why but she reminds me of my student at Semesta School named Abiil, except for the hair.

This Spiderman movie is amazing. It deals with illusion tech that is being discussed in this movie. The illusion makes Peter Parker difficult to defeat his enemy. By the way, Spiderman has new suits here, including in black color. But in the end he’s back in red and dark blue suit. I give this movie 9.3 for the score. Good job for people who are involved in this Spiderman movie project!

My favorite scene is when Peter Parker in a train. He’s just hit by the train and he crawls inside. He takes off his mask (he wears black suit anyway) and hurts. He sits on a seat and finally passes out. OMG I feel pity on him. Somehow I find it ‘interesting’. I wish I were there, so I can be with Tom Holland and cure him. Then he will be lying on my lap. Hahaha. He’s so sexy!

When we love someone, we expect that he/she will notice our feeling. We are shy to say it first but it has to be done. Frankly speaking, I’ve ever said “you’re the one that I like” to my classmate through chatting. He and I had moments together before I confessed it. He thought that I liked another person which was the captain of the class. Thus, I think it was right to tell him the truth. And that’s it. We’re done. It’s over between me and him. It felt awkward when we met. We never talked anymore. Yeah, but forget it. He looks less handsome now. He was charming when we were together. Nou, tot ziens, Maders! Dank je wel!

X-Men Dark Phoenix (2019) Movie Review

Hi Maders! Today I’m going to talk about X-Men Dark Phoenix. I watched it a few days after the movie is released. The word ‘phoenix’ reminds me of a bird in Harry Potter’s movie. The bird heals Harry when Voldemort hurts him. The phoenix gets old quickly and it will burn himself before being a reborn baby phoenix. Such an amazing bird!

Here, X-Men focuses on the life of Jane. Jane has parents but they give up to take care of her because Jane has mysterious power. Then, Professor Xavier brings Jane to his mansion. Since then, Jane is taught how to control her power. Unfortunately, Jane gets an accident in space while rescuing some astronauts. Jane absorbs something red (like smoke) and it makes her stronger.

In short, Jane becomes more powerful and she endangers her friends. Some of her friends want to stop Jane by killing her, but some of them still try to keep Jane alive. When I watched this movie, my mind thought about Captain Marvel. What Jane does is like Captain Marvel’s. Her superpower is also from the explosion in the space, almost the same.

The moral value I’ve found is how to control our desire towards others. You may achieve something but don’t let it hurt your friends. Jane hurts her friends because she says that her power feels great. Even Jane unintentionally kills one of the X-Men. I won’t tell you who it is. You must watch the movie :p

My favorite character here is Magneto (Erik). He looks handsome and her power of controlling steel is extraordinary. He can destroy a train with the movement of his hand. He also wears silver masculine necklace on her neck. If I were the X-Men, I would love to have power of making storm. I can water my plants without waiting for the rain. Hahaha.

Okay, I give this movie 8.0 for the score. I’ve sent the score on TIX ID to give reference to other people. This movie is recommended for fantasy lovers. If you don’t like magic or hate fantastic stuff, you may have difficulty to enjoy this one. However, you are welcome to try to watch despite your favorite genre. That’s all. Bye bye, Maders!

Hit & Run (2019) Movie Review

Hello Again, Maders! Last night I watched an Indonesian action movie, Hit & Run. I’ve loved this movie from the start since I watched the trailer. I wanted to watch it and surprisingly my uncle was talking about Terminator (Dark Fate) which is an action movie too. I told him that it’s not been played yet, then I suggested him to watch Hit & Run. He agreed and we went there with my mom an hour before the movie was played.

The actors in Hit & Run are Joe Taslim (a charming man with martial art talent), Tatjana Saphira (a pretty lady and little self-defense action), Lio, Jefri Nichol, David (an antagonist but he’s a martial art athlete in reality, and handsome!), Yayan Ruhiyan (the main nemesis), and so on. Do you need me to introduce you to the main story? Oh okay then.

Hit & Run is a movie about Tegar, a police capturing a drug seller. With the help of his friends, he finds the location of the criminal. This movie is also funny because it contains much comedy. I couldn’t breath when the protagonist is stabbed by the criminal. There words for this movie are breath-taking, romantic, and amusing.

My favorite part is when the protagonist plays piano and sings together with the woman. They have complicated love story but it’s not the main part of this whole story. The absurd scene is when a robber is at mini market, eating snacks above the shelf. As a robber, he talks too much and spoiled.

Okay, from one to ten, I give this movie eight for the score. I recommend you to watch this because this is an action movie originally from Indonesia. You’ll laugh and worry at the same time. Usually Indonesian movies are about drama, but this Hit & Run is special.

Well, Maders, see you on the next movie review. Bye bye!

Aladdin (2019) Movie Review

Hi, Maders! Have you watched Aladdin? This is the live action of the animation version. I watched this movie with mom last Monday. At first, I didn’t have desire to watch because I know the story already. When I was a kid, I watched the cartoon.

Perhaps some of you don’t know Aladdin. Really? Well, Aladdin is an orphan, living on the street with a monkey named Abu. Actually he is a thief, but he has a good heart. Sometimes he gives his food to the poor. In fact, Aladdin is poor as well. One day, Aladdin meets Princess Jasmine who is wandering alone in disguise. They fall in love. Another day, Aladdin finds a magical lamp with a genie inside. He has three wishes.

Okay, you need to watch the movie by yourself to know the ending. The conflict is nice. This is a musical movie, so the characters sing much. The title of the main song is ‘A Whole New World’. I sang loudly on this song when it’s played. The scene is when Aladdin and Prince Jasmine flying with a magical carpet.

This movie contains some moral values: don’t underestimate the poor or even mock them, bravery to fight for the right, don’t be greedy, and about honesty. I always seek for moral values to discuss. A good movie will always teach us something.

Princess Jasmine is not weak. If you’re a woman and you love to see a female character with full courage, Princess Jasmine is the one. And then, Will Smith plays as the genie in this movie. He’s very funny and cool. Frankly speaking, the actor playing Aladdin looks handsome enough.

Now is scoring time. From one to ten, I give Aladdin 8.3 for the score. This movie must be difficult to make because it tells about an Arabian Night tale (location: desert). But I will recommend this movie to you who love classical story. Yeah yeah you may know the story of Aladdin, but it’s not a wrong thing to enjoy the live action of Aladdin movie.

Well, that’s all for today. Thanks for reading. Have a good day, Maders!

Detective Pikachu (2019) Movie Review

Hi, Maders! Did you ever play Pokemon in your childhood? Perhaps you also played PokemonGo? The very recent movie I watched is Detective Pikachu. Usually I watch movies at cinema alone, but this time I went to Transmart with Mom. Suddenly she asked me to watch a movie together at 8am, I just woke up at that time. Then I booked the tickets and took a shower. Honestly I didn’t plan to watch Detective Pikachu, but I did.

Detective Pikachu tells a story of a lonely teenager, Tim, that is informed that his dad is gone. Tim visits his dad’s apartment out of town in Ryme City to gather some stuff but Tim meets Pikachu. Tim understands what Pikachu says. People usually don’t understand what Pokemon says. Pikachu is funny, critical, but sometimes annoying for Tim. Hahaha.

In short, Tim and Pikachu work together to break the mystery of Tim’s missing father. There is something wrong about evil Pokemon. If you haven’t known about Pokemon at all, don’t worry, you won’t be confused to watch this movie. Even you’ll get better understanding about the world of Pokemon.

In Ryme City, everyone has one Pokemon as companion. Pokemon will say its own name while communicating. For example, a Pokemon named ‘Psyduck’ will always say, “Psyduck! Psyduck!” for most of the time. By hearing this mumbling, you know the name of the Pokemon.

I cried twice when I watched this movie but sorry, I forgot which parts. Mostly I laughed so hard because Pikachu is entertaining. I give this movie score 8.0 :’) recommended to watch with family or friends. Okay, that’s all for my review. Now I’m waiting X-Men: Dark Phoenix to be played. See you, Maders!
