Bewilder Pop Concert in Unisbank

Hey, Maders! Last Saturday, I enjoyed watching a music concert from Netherlands, Bewilder. This group band is still new, so probably many people haven’t known about them. They consist of four men; Maurits, Bram, Arjan, Jeroen, and Arjen. The concert was held in my cousin’s campus, Unisbank. He invited me to see the show a week before.

I slept over at my uncle’s house because it’s nearer. We went there after praying Magrib by Go-Car. It’s cheap and simple. To be honest, I admired the campus because it’s fabulous with elevators. Even my university is not that tall.

Accidentally, I met the MC at the restroom. Her name is Khansa and she’s from English Department like me. We talked using English all the time and she’s such a friendly girl. I came near the stage to respect her as the MC because she managed everyone to stand up in the middle of the ballroom.

I had a chance to take pictures with the Bewilder’s crew and member. They got surprised because I could talk using Nederlands taal. Yeah, a little bit. Haha. Still, my English is better than my Dutch. Even my English is much better than my Javanese.

I shouted out and enjoyed the concert for two hours. Sometimes I sang along with them. In order to appreciate Bewilder, I didn’t play with my phone as long as the concert was on the show. It’s the same feeling when you talk to someone, but he or she is busy with their gadget instead of listening to you intensively. Hurt, right?

I would like to say thanks to all committee for holding a nice concert with Bewilder. It’s not gonna happen without their hardwork. I know how it feels to be one of the committee. Yeah the event wasn’t that perfect, but I truly respect what they’ve done.

Well, Maders, you have no right to judge if an event is bad, moreover if it goes wrong because of technical problem. Don’t! Everyone always hopes for the best, but anything can happen suddenly. You can’t be angry with the committee because you don’t work with them to make the event successful. Better remain silent. Happy Weekend, Maders!

Pottermore for Potterheads

Hello, Maders! One day I met a senior sitting next to me while he was waiting for his friend having final project examination in the lecturers’ room. He talked to me because I was reading a book that he knew. It’s Eskimo’s Stories, but he has the other series, Dutch’s Stories. I have it as well.

He admitted that he’s an introvert and he explained me the definition of introvert. More or less, an introvert doesn’t like crowd and prefers being alone. Well, that’s me. Plus, an introvert is not always shy. Okay, it’s me again. Hence, I’m an introvert just like him.

In the middle of our talk, he recommended me about a website for knowing who I am if I belong to Hogwarts, an imaginary boarding school for wizards. It’s based on Harry Potter movie series. As far as I know, those who love Harry Potter are called Potterheads. I’m not really Potterhead because I’m completely Narnian. On the other hand, I like Harry Potter too.

At home, I tried to visit the website, Pottermore. There’re some choices that I had to choose. For instance, among the colors; grey, white, and black, I decided to choose grey. Then, there’s another question again and again. In the end, the result showed up. Oh yeah, we could know about Patronus, House, and I forgot the other two. I think you should visit the website by yourselves. Haha.

If I live in Hogwarts, I would belong to Ravenclaw because my house’s there. Also, I would have Deerhound as my Patronus. I don’t know what it really means honestly.

The next day, I told Via, my Potterhead friend, about my house. She agreed that I belong to Ravenclaw because I’m such a unique and genius. Seriously? Thank God I don’t belong to Slytherin. If I were, surely I would claim myself cruel.

Trying new things is important because you can enrich your knowledge. I’m Narnian, but I also enter Potterhead world by visiting Pottermore website. You need to do the same, Maders. Open your mind to everything around you. Don’t just stick into one thing forever. Okay, Maders!

I'm A Friend of All My Students

Hey, Maders! What’re you up to? I’m preparing the requirements for my final project exam. I wanna step ahead this time after making the final project for a semester.

In the middle of my activities, I still teach some students that usually come to my house. I prefer teaching in my house because I’ve a special room along with my piano. Moreover, I don’t have to drive to go somewhere when my students come to see me.

Teaching English is the best job I’ve ever had. I love English so much and everyday I try to improve my ability. Plus, I can have my own income besides what my parents give to me.

Most of my students are adults because I enjoy teaching them more than elementary students. I’m a friend of all my students because we can talk anything (using English for sure) in speaking session. A great teacher is someone who can be a great friend for his or her students.

I’m young and I know popular things happen in my surrounding including trends about music and fashion. That’s why my students like me. It’s because I can understand them by entering their world.

FYI, I can love something easily when you show something new to me. I just need a few minutes to know whether I like it or not. There must be a reason when I don’t like something. I’ll let you know when I’m not into it.

Well, everyone can be a teacher. Don’t limit the specific term about teaching because it’s not always discussing subjects at school. Just relate your activities in daily life and see if other people can do it or not. If they can’t, you can offer teaching them.

Well, honestly I never expected myself to be a teacher in the past because I saw being a doctor was cooler. In reality, teaching is my passion and English is my favorite. At least, now I know what my thing is. You also need to find your thing. What is it? Just start with asking yourself about what you like.

Okay, Maders, that’s all for today. Be excellent and stay cool. Bye!
