Jogging with Shafa

Hey, Maders! How’s your weekend? Fun, huh? It’s gonna be weekend again cause I write in the middle of the week. There will be very special because this is the end of the year! Whoohoo! Happy New Year, Maders! I’d be the first one saying it to you. Haha.

Okay, well, yesterday I asked my next door neighbor, Shafa, to take my picture with my skateboard because I would post it on Instagram today. I can’t take the picture of myself in full body unless I have a drone. No kidding, seriously. Haha.

After editing and selecting the best picture, we talked about something. You know, girls’ stuff. I don’t have to mention it. Moreover, it’s our secret. We were sitting on my porch facing the little garden of my house.

Then, she went home and I prayed Ashr because it’s time. Half an hour later, she texted me and planned to go for jogging. I said yes! Burning fat is the necessary thing to do.

Firstly, we visited the nearest school’s yard and ran several times. Two rounds for running and one time for walking. Feeling tired, we agreed to walk around another village. We smiled to people we saw. It was a sunny late afternoon. In this rainy season, not everyday we have such a nice weather like this. I usually go out for jogging alone when the sky supports me.

Shafa and I kept talking while walking. We shared many things to say. She’s five years younger than me. FYI I usually gather with younger youngsters and I feel like being younger than my real age. Haha. Still, I’m dreaming of having a big brother.

When we were about to reach our housing, we met some buffalos and a man taking care of them. The smell, ugh, I honestly liked it. It’s like fresh grass going into my nose. Shafa and I felt a bit afraid of those buffalos but we were fine. Haha. They’re tame already!

So, that’s all for today. Start your healthy life by doing exercise regularly. Don’t have to be hard, but make it as a routine activity. Okay? Well, Happy Wednesday, Maders!

Star Wars Rogue One

Hi, Maders! What have you done on this Saturday night? I’ve watched the latest Star Wars movie at XXI Paragon with my boss, her children and aunt. There were five of us. To be honest, I’m spending this weekend at my boss’ place and having a mission to teach her forth grade daughter English vocabs in order to face a spelling bee.

Okay, let’s talk about Rogue One. I thought it referred to somebody that would betray others in the movie because the whole thing was about rebellion. In fact, Rogue One is a name of a flight, the plane for the rebellion to go to another planet.

Darth Vader is still alive in the movie because this movie shows about the beginning of Death Star, so I’m still thinking what happens to Luke Skywalker after getting his light-saber from Rey in the 7th Star Wars movie. Mystery!

As usual, Star Wars has awesome visual effects on every scene. I love it! This time, the main characters are Jyn, Cassian, and K2. K2 is a robot who promises to Jyn that he will protect her. So sweet! Cassian is about to kill Jyn’s father but he finally doesn’t kill him. Instead, he becomes a friend for Jyn. Their mission is to find a clue to destroy Death Star.

There are other surprising characters showed in this movie, they are the actor of IP Man, Darth Vader, and Princess Leia Skywalker. Donnie becomes Chirrut that is blind. When he is captured, the evil men cover his face, and he says, “are you kidding me? I’m blind!” It means there is no point to cover his face because he cannot see already without any cover. Haha.

My favorite part is when Darth Vader chocks his director by making a ‘U’ shape with his fingers without touching him. Cool! I’m a fan of Darth Vader although he’s a bad guy. FYI he used to a handsome man named Anakin Skywalker.

The movie is funny and interesting for those who love fantasy and action movies. It has a romantic and sad ending. I’ll tell you an important quotation in the movie below:
“I’m with the Force and may the Force be with you.”

Happy weekend, Maders! See you around!

14 Volunteers Slept Over at My House

Hey, Maders! How’s life? I’d like to share a story about last night’s moment. There were 14 volunteers sleeping at my house, actually they were 15 in total but one of them got ill. They’re studying at my campus, but we have different majors and I didn’t recognize them for the first time, now we’re being great friends.

They’ve been doing project in a district near my house and they had a chance to visit me. I’m so happy to have guests like them because we’re in the same age. Fortunately, my house has enough rooms and beds, so they slept tightly. Plus, I have four bathrooms that helped much. Two of the girls slept with me in my bedroom because I have twin beds.

The weather was cold because it rained. They came by motorcycles and a few taken by Fero, my dad’s car. At 9 pm, we gathered and watched a movie together using LCD and my laptop. The movie was about reproduction process, it related with medical and health because of my mom.

In the morning, the girls helped cooking for our breakfast and the boys made the rooms tidy. They said that my house’s clean and comfortable. Ahh thank you! As the owner of the house, I was delighted that my guest felt satisfied.

They went back to their basecamp when I was taking a shower, so I didn’t send them off, only my parents did. It’s okay, we could talk through chatting.

Well, that’s all, Maders! I’m the only child in my family and I always feel glad whenever I’ve got new friends. It’s easy to know people, but the hardest thing is to keep in touch with them. You had better say hi regularly through a message to people that you don’t see for a long time. You don’t want to lose them, do you?

Jostein Gaarder, my favorite author in philosophy, stated that it’s easier to love someone that is far away from us than to love someone that is around us. It means when you miss someone out there so badly, but you don’t miss someone near you whom you meet everyday.

Happy Thursday, Maders!

The Necessary Things in My Bag

Hello, Maders! What are you up to on this Wednesday? I just took my final project draft from campus and had a lunch at my mom’s office. Suddenly I was thinking about things that I always bring in my bag. Haha.

First of all, I must bring liquid soap along with a hand-sanitizer. I have to wash my hands before rubbing my face when I’m about to pray. I think bacteria is everywhere and dirty touch can bring acne. I use hand-sanitizer whenever I feel uncomfortable with the surface of my hands, especially before touching food or after shaking hands with many people.

Secondly, I need to bring wallet and phones. Although I can ask someone to pay me on something, I cannot always depend on him or her. It will be much better when I can pay with my own. Moreover, wallet contains essential cards such as ID, library, debit, driving licenses, etc. Actually I have two phones, iPhone and Nokia. My main phone to receive either calls or messages is on iPhone, my Nokia is only for opening dictionary, agendas, music, and daily alarm.

Thirdly, I always bring a pack of tissue. It is useful to wipe my sweat or to clean dirt. Also, I use it after going out from restroom. Somehow I prefer using tissue to handkerchief because when the tissue becomes dirty, I can throw it away after usage. Haha. Sorry for not being conservative!

The other things I bring are mirror, a pen, a hand-fan, and lip-gloss inside a glasses box. I’ve had a bad experience about melting lip-gloss. I left it in my car and I was going to a mall. When I came back, my lip-gloss was melted. It happened when I was having outdoor activity as well. Hence, I decide to keep it inside a glasses box. I’m using the glasses, so the box is empty.

To be honest, I’m a simple girl who doesn’t often wear makeup. All I need is just lip-gloss sometimes, even without powder. Yeah, sunblock for face is necessary but in a rush, I just need lip-gloss. I think my lips are my asset, and it is one of the sexy parts on my body. Haha. When I move it to talk, surely people will watch it.

Well, now you know what things in my bag are. I guess you have your own personal things. Bring what you need and stay cool. Bye, Maders!

Dad's Sport School Reunion

Hi, Maders! Last Sunday, I accompanied my dad to a reunion because it’s been 36 years he hasn’t met his friends at Sport School. My dad should have been a sport teacher, but he continued to enter a university to study spiritual speech. Haha.

I wore a black shirt with circle white polka inside my dark blazer and jeans. I looked like a career woman. Somehow this time I wanted to look mature and fabulous, usually I wear cartoon motives for my outfit and dominated with bright colors such as yellow or red.

My dad drove Fero, his car, to go there out of town. It took three hours in our journey that was more than 50 kilometers away. I would feel more comfy if we used Marion, my car, but my dad chose rocky roads among woods and. No way for Marion! Sorry!

The place was a barbeque restaurant with nice natural view and the temperature was low. I loved the atmosphere that could calm me down. We all ate chicken for lunch and talked about the past. I met new friends (kids from Daddy’s friends) and acquainted the people there. I didn’t have to know the name cause I forgot, I just spoke and got closer like old friends.

My favorite part of a reunion is always in introducing each family member. My dad was put in the last section because he had to lead the pray and he gave me special time to hold the microphone and said hi to all.

“Honey, Dek Nissa, come in front please,” he said.

I used English a bit and they got impressed. Haha. It was a simple reunion without any additional things, only coming, eating, and talking. But it pleasantly succeeded. I thanked to the committee for the preparation and choosing the place. It’s worth with the long journey and traffic jam.

We reached home at 6 PM. Before that, we were about to buy cheese pancake, my favorite, but it wasn’t my usual place so I didn’t feel sure about the taste. I cancelled it. Well, that’s my experience in going to my dad’s reunion. I felt tired, yet excited. Have a good day, Maders!
