Ip Man 4 The Finale Filmrecensie

Hallo, Maders! Alles goed? Ja, ik kom terug hier. Nu wil ik vertel over Ip Man 4 The Finale. Waar! Dit is de laatse film. Er zijn vier films en ik heb al gezien. Jij?

Mijn moeder, mijn vader en ik zie de film vorig jaar. Nieuwejaarsavond. Dit is een actie film, dus de mensen vechten elkaar. Ik denk dat de eerste acteur nooit sterft, maar hij sterft! Ik voel verdrietig.

Well, let me tell you about the main conflict of this movie. There is strong relationship between a father and his son. Another conflict is about racial matter. Eigenlijk, ik vergeet een beetje over de verhaal. Sorry. Maar, ik probeer mijn best jij te vertellen.

Ip has serious disease that can become worse if he fights again. On the other hand, Ip’s son has problem at school and he doesn’t wanna continue going to school anymore. Ip’s son wants to learn Kung Fu deeper but Ip has no desire to teach his son for good.

Ip goes to America to find a good school for his son. As long as he doesn’t get a recommendation letter from the leader of Chinese consulate, any school won’t accept Ip’s son. The leader of Chinese consulate hates Ip because Ip teaches Kung Fu for American people. The leader of Chinese consulates himself hates American people. The point is about discrimination.

American students bully the daughter of the leader of Chinese consulate at school. At the same day, Ip sees the action and he saves her. They become friends. The girl has no idea if her father loathes Ip when Ip comes to her house.

In the army world, a Chinese-American soldier wants to share about Kung Fu to his friends. This idea is rejected by his American captain. This American captain is evil and being the antagonist. In the end, Ip fights against the caption to prove that all racial matter is nonsense. Actually we can learn anything without looking at our background. In short, Ip wins. What makes me sad is Ip’s death. This film is taken from a true story of Ip.

Ja, dat is genoeg. Ik ben klaar. Wat denk je over de verhaal? Jij moet de film zien. Oke, tot ziens, Maders! Dag!

Si Manis Jembatan Ancol 2019 Filmrecensie

Goedemiddag, Maders! Hebben jullie Si Manis Jembatan Ancol gezien? Ja, het is een verschrikking film. De film komt uit in zesentwintig Desember 2019. In Engels, de film wordt Bloodlust Beauty. Maar, dit is in Indonesie, om oude tijd. Ik kijk de film met mijn vriend. Hij werkt in Jakarta, dus wij besteden de tijd samen.

Eigenlijk houd ik niet van verschrikking film. Ik ben niet alleen, dus ik word dapper. Hahaha. De film is over een vrouw who is rich and having a firm husband. The man never treats the woman well although the woman loves him so much. She keeps helping and protecting her husband, but the man sometimes feels distracted.

Everything changes when the woman meets a sweet guy who is a painter. The painter secretly draws her on a canvas, but she knows it. They become friends. The woman never lets him come into her house to keep the dignity of her husband.

The conflicts in the story are about debt and triangle love. The man has very big debt towards a gangster. They threaten him to take his wife if he cannot pay the debt on time. In the end, the man forces his wife to sell the house, but she rejects it because the house belongs to her late father.

I will skip to the ending. Finally the woman is killed by the gangster and she becomes a (fake) ghost. She kills the members of the gangster one by one. When her ghostly figure is revealed, her husband pretends to apologize. But he stabs the woman in the stomach. The painter stabs the man in return. After killing the bad guy, the painter takes the woman’s body to a river. Then, the painter is captured by police. Now the woman really becomes a ghost.

Oke, ik zal andere dingen praten. The actors and the actress are good-looking and the story is good. When I was in elementary school, I always watched the series of this movie. It does not feel too creepy because there were many jokes, such as the gay ghost.

What I wonder about the event in this story is when Maryam becomes a fake ghost. Somehow she can haunt people there with magical dreams. You know, if she is still a human, she will not be able to do such thing, right? But this is fiction, so I must not question too much.

Star Wars 9: The Rise of Skywalker Filmrecensie

Dag, Maders! Ik wil over Star Wars praten. Ik zie The Rise of Skywalker (de negende film van Star Wars) in Desember 2019. Vier maanden geleden. Als ik schrijf dit tekst, nu is April. Vergeef me if I didn’t remember much things about the movie. I will just give my appreciation and little explanation.

The point of this movie is about Rey Skywalker being a jedi. Yups, her last name is shocking us all. I never knew if she’s the descendant of Skywalker. Uitstekend, toch? She has doubt in her heart whether she can face the war or not. It seems that she must do something big to save people. Daarna, she keeps training and improving her capability.

When the final war comes, Rey is about to go alone, maar haar vrienden ook gaan. Without their help, it’s impossible to win the war. This movie teaches us to do teamwork. The first enemy Rey has to deal with is Kylo Ren. They hate each other. Kylo Ren becomes bad because he kills his own father and looks for power. In the end, Leia (Ren’s mother) sacrifices herself to turn Kylo Ren into a good person again. Somehow Leia whispers from very long distance to Ren’s soul. She’s so weak and eventually dead after that.

Rey and her army get helped by Kylo Ren to defeat Emperor Palpatine. As always, Palpatine is an old disgusting guy in a black mysterious cloak. The war is epic because there are many spaceships in the air, shooting each other. Moreover, many good people die in this war. So sad!

Rey needs to face Palpatine alone inside his dark castle. Suddenly Kylo comes to help her. I don’t know why but they becomes romantic. Even he kisses her when Rey is dying. Wow! The ending is fantastic because good side wins. Rey is safe.

This is the last movie of Star Wars series. I still wonder what happens to Rey for the next journey. She buries the lightsabers in the sand. In my fantasy, I imagine Rey gets married with someone and they have another Skywalker’s descendant.

The Courier (2020) Movie Review

Dag, Maders! Alles goed? Ik wil The Courier film spreken :) I watched this movie on 4th February 2020. The reason why I really wanted to watch this is because of William Moseley. He is my favorite actor and basically I knew him from Narnia movie. He looks very charming as King Peter in Narnia.

Alright, this time I’d like to discuss about The Courier. Just like the title, this movie shows the actions of a courier. She’s a woman having a job to deliver important packages in limited time. She’s always on time. One day, she has no idea if she delivers a poisonous gas that can kill people there. It’s all set by an antagonist character, which is my fav actor. Yups, William Moseley! He becomes the antagonist here. But it’s fine. I still love him. Hahaha

The poisonous gas is aimed to kill a witness (a man). But the courier saves him from the death. Well, that’s the point of the story. The moral value of this movie is not to easily trust someone. You can trust someone but you must stay alert.

My favorite part in The Courier is when William Moseley shows up, of course. I also admire the self defence from the female character. She’s tough, strong, and brave. Seeing her actions makes me want to burn fat and exercise more. Sometimes I feel lazy to workout.

Perempuan Tanah Jahanam (2019) Movie Review

Hallo Maders! I would like to discuss about a horror movie I just watched. The title is Perempuan Tanah Jahanam or The Woman of Jahanam’s World. Personally I don’t like horror movies but this time I braced myself to enjoy this one. If you know a movie called Pengabdi Setan or Satan’s Followers, you may have known the director. Joko Anwar is the same person who made these two horror movies along with Gundala, a superhero movie.

Before watching this movie, I read some reviews. They said the ghosts only came up a few times, but the scenes contained more blood. Yes! I totally agree. Blood is everywhere. The ghosts have no scary face because they’re children. I see people cut their throats many times. Even a scene shows a woman is hit with a stone.

The point of the story is about a woman visiting her childhood’s village although she barely knows his own life background. She’s going there with her bestfriend. There are tragedies ever since they stay at the village. The villagers believe that they must kill the woman in order to sweep away the curse. Babies are born without skin. You’ll only see something red in the shape of a baby. Really disgusting! Slecht!

The villagers instantly kill babies. There is no children in the village, only adults. In the past, they let one baby without skin to live. As a result, it grows into a paralyzed person and still without skin. It must be fed and abandoned. Useless! You can see this phenomenon clearly on this movie.

What I like about this movie is the plot. I have no doubt towards Joko Anwar. His last movie I watch is Gundala and it was amazing. What I don’t like about this movie is because this is horror movie. Hahahaha. Don’t blame me please. I’m afraid of watching ghosts, any ghost. I just appreciate someone who asked me to go on a date and we watched this together.

Joker 2019 Movie Review

Goedemiddag, Allemaal! Hoi, Maders! This time I will talk about Joker. Fortunately I could watch it on the second day after the movie’s released. I always watch the trailer before I watch any movie. From what I saw, the actor being Joker wasn’t my expectation, Jared Leto. My mind’s still picturing him playing with Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad. Above all, I had intuition to watch Joker this time because it’s from DC Comics. Yeah, and I won’t see a hero, but a super villain.

The opening of the movie shows that Arthur (the real name of Joker) works as a clown. He must smile in order to make people happy. Yet, his own life does not contain happiness at all. Arthur has a psychological disease that he sometimes can’t hold his laugh. He often laughs at the wrong time and it makes people mad at him. He gets a lot of hit and kick.

Arthur lives with his mother, Penny Fleck, in a filthy apartment. He loves her so much. Penny always tries to send letters to Thomas Wayne (the father of Batman, Bruce Wayne) saying that Arthur is his son! OMG I was shocked knowing this information. Let me tell you, this is not true. In fact, Penny is delusional and she’s ever lived at Arkham Asylum. Arthur finds this out and he’s angry to his mother. Arthur also knows that he’s adopted by Penny. The climax is when Arthur kills Penny at hospital. Arthur loves to put makeup like a clown on his face and he changes his name into Joker although he’s fired from HAHA’s, an office providing clown service.

The reason why Joker’s fired is because he’s seen bringing a gun at kid’s hospital while he is entertaining them. His boss gets angry and fires him through a public telephone. Joker starts his revenge and kills people that hurt him. The location of this story is obviously in Gotham City. You can see the little Bruce Wayne. I guess he’s only 10 years old when Joker’s turning 30 years old. At the end of this movie, the parents of Bruce Wayne get killed by a man wearing clown mask. Bruce doesn’t cry when his parents die. It’s a little bit different with another Batman story but the point is still the same.

Well, I gave 8.0 for the score of this movie. It’s full of tragedy and you can enjoy Jazz music here. The way Joker kills is freaking me out. He ever stabs someone’s eye with a scissor and other brutal actions. The smile on his lips is carved by his own blood. Joker has many followers because he’s the one who starts the chaos in Gotham. The society follows him to look like a clown. I recommend this movie for those who want to know the background of Joker’s life. You will know why Joker turns into bad person.

Gundala Movie Review

Hoi, Maders! Wie is je superheld? Ik zeg, GUNDALA! Finally Indonesia released a local superhero movie. Gundala is like the first avenger. If Avengers belong to Marvel Cinematic Universe, Gundala belongs to BumiLangit Cinematic Universe (BCU). Until 2025, there will be a local superhero movie at cinema from BCU. Ik ben zo blij!

I’d like to discuss about Gundala and his specialty. The name of Gundala is Sancaka. In this movie, the actor being Sancaka is Abimana Arsatya. OMG he’s really a hot daddy! I like his posture and his handsome face. By the way, Sancaka gets his power from the lightning. In fact, Sancaka feels afraid of lightning because it can strike him anywhere. When he knows that he becomes powerful from the lightning, he creates a suit to improve his ability.

What makes me sad is the hard life of Sancaka since he was a little boy. His father is dead because of being stabbed. His mother leaves him alone at home in order to seek for a job. His mother promises to leave only one day but she leaves him a few weeks. Sancaka gets ill and starving. He leaves home and survive.

In Gundala, political issue is the topic. It deals with the government and the demonstration. Sancaka used to mind his own business but he can’t stand of other people’s suffering. He starts helping his surrounding. The reason why Gundala has a special suit is just like other superheroes, he doesn’t want to reveal his identity.

There are two scenes becoming my favorite of all. The first one is when Sancana gets hurt. Merpati, his girlfriend wanna be, cures his wound on the left side of his stomach. You know what? The focus of the camera is only on Sancaka’s stomach. I can see it clearly. OMG! Hahaha. Sexy to the max. The second one: I love it when Sancaka hugs a crying (fat and old) woman when the market is being burned. She feels sad because her goods are burned. Sancaka protects her when she is about to go to the inside of the market. I also want his hug. Gosh!

Well, I think that’s all. Gundala is a super awesome Indonesian superhero movie. YOU MUST WATCH IT especially for all Indonesians nationally. We must be proud of this movie. We have our own superheroes. You can’t say it’s a copy paste. BIG NO! This is our local heroes that have local values.
