The Wedding at PRPP

Hullo, Maders! I’ve ever seen the preparation of Chinese wedding at PRPP. My music teacher let me follow her there because she’s in charge of playing cello with the orchestra. We came at 2 PM although the party was at 6 PM. Many people did their jobs, such as arranging the super big wedding tart, cleaning the eating tools, decorating the ballroom, etc. I just sat and watched them. Haha.

The orchestra played several classical songs and even dangdut as requested by family holding the wedding. I loved seeing the violinists because they moved the bow together. I imagined that someday myself would play as good as them. Thanks to my music teacher for teaching me piano and violin so far.

I amazed with the bride and the bridegroom’s dress and the way people set in tables. All was elegant! Firstly, the family members would take pictures on the stage with their coats and beautiful gowns. After the guests’ arrival, they would sit on chairs with their names on the table. All guests had their own chair and table to enjoy the food served for them.

On the contrary, Javanese weddings I usually see do not use this concept. There are limited seats and mostly people eat by standing up. Crowded! Guests will be unpredictable because those who receive the invitation are free to bring anyone who wants to eat at the wedding. I don’t like this concept but it was what happened.

I admit that Chinese wedding is set well because the guests follow the rules. They cannot enter the ballroom if they aren’t invited. If they still come in, they will be no seat for the unwelcomed guests.

Basically wedding is just a big party to provide food for guests. Nothing’s more. Yes, I know it’s a happy day for the couple. Personally, I’ll spend not too much money for (my) wedding. I just pray for the right concept I’d like to use. I expect to use simple gown with natural makeup on my face.

I’d say that it’s better to save money for buying a new house or something to the new life of the couple. Wedding may be spectacular, but still I’m a thrifty girl and I want all efficiently. Have a good wedding party, Maders!

Star Wars The Last Jedi

Hey, Maders! I’m a fan of Star Wars and I always wait the series in December every year. Last year, (well, it’s 2018 already) there’s Star Wars XIII: The Last Jedi. I think Luke Skywalker is the last jedi after all J

I planned to watch it with Shafa. Because of the rainy season, we went there by my car. Usually when I go somewhere with her, I tend to ride a motorcycle. Both she and I were in holiday, so we’re available to watch a movie. Before going, I played piano and Shafa recorded the video using my iPad, at that day I uploaded it on my Instagram.

I needed to go to school first to sign the report of my students while Shafa was waiting for me in the car. I wasn’t there for long, not longer than five minutes. Next, I submitted my final assignment to campus and I parked the car there.

We walked rather far to go to the cinema. I bought a book first at the bookstore near the cinema while waiting for the gate opened. After queuing in line, I said Star Wars to the receptionist. I was surprised cause the choices of time were only at 5 PM and 6 PM. I thought the movie was available at 1 PM.

I couldn’t come home late. The final decision was to cancel watching the movie. Disappointedly, we walked a little to go to a mall. We ate lunch together at sushi restaurant. The good news was both of us could save our money and eat what we liked instead of watching movie.

After being full, we walked back to my campus to pray and take the car, then going home. I felt exhausted, all I wanted was taking a nap in the afternoon.

Honestly, this new year’s eve my cousins spoiled me the Star Wars story cause they have watched it. Yeah, not so clear but I understood it. Probably I won’t see the movie this time.

Honestly, two men promised me if we could watch Star Wars together but those people didn’t contact me at all to give certainty. I’m sick of it! I can watch the movie alone anyway, but you know, two is better than one.

Well, Maders, you should always keep your promise if you have said it, okay!

Birthday of Mupi Pupi My Pillow

Hi, Maders! A couple weeks ago, mom bought me a mini tart and it’s cute. I didn’t directly eat because I wanted to make fun about it. I said it was Mupi’s birthday. Well, in fact, it wasn’t! Mupi could have birthday anytime I want. Haha. I never celebrate my birthday on the exact date.

I made status on Whatsapp and people commented about it. Some of them congratulated Mupi through me. Silly, wasn’t it? I know! Haha. That’s a joke.

After taking pictures, I ate the tart. It tasted delicious. How much did it cost? Only 7k! Yup. Damn cheap. I put it as the icon of Mupi’s birthday. I love Mupi.

Most friends of mine know Mupi very well. They took my picture when I brought Mupi at class and my classmate even drew Mupi on my iPad. It’s a very good picture. I can’t even draw something nice.

As I ever mentioned here, Mupi is a cow pillow. It’s not fluffy but squishy, very much. Anyone will love Mupi when they squish it. I feel grateful of having Mupi. It’s only available at Gramedia bookstore, now it’s sold out.

I think I have the best Mupi ever cause other Mupis aren’t as squishy as mine. You could try it. Well, Maders, I bet you get something precious on your possessions. What is it? Lemme know if you don’t mind.

Have a nice day, Maders!

Violin vs Piano

Hey, Maders! This time I’d like to share my experience in learning piano and violin. Piano plays both melody and chords. It’s difficult to think for the right and the left hands. On the other hand, violin only plays the melody. I’d say that violin is easier than piano.

The picture shows two violins. The one I hold belongs to my music teacher, it’s the copy of Stradivari. Mupi holds mine, it’s J. S. Bach violin. Thanks to Mom for buying me a good violin. It cost 2,3 million rupiahs but we got discount, so it was only 1,8 million rupiahs.

There are four strings in violin and the bow should ‘swipe’ it one by one. The strings have names like G, D, A, and E. My music teacher taught me about the melody on those strings.

I’m not seeing my violin (and the strings) when I play because I’m seeing the music sheet. Your focus will be on the melody you should play, not on the instrument you hold. It’s like running automatically when you master how to play violin without looking at it.

Learning music is pleasure for relaxing mind. I guess it can avoid senility too. All right, probably not everyone can play an instrument but at least many people love listening music. That’s very something to me.

If you wanna start learning violin or piano or others, age doesn’t limit you to do it. My music teacher also teaches a grandma who plays piano even better than me. I started playing violin when I was 22 years old. It’s okay.

The price for learning music is not cheap. I’ve spent much for it but it’s worth it. Price is nothing compared to education. To be an educated person, you need to study. Study anything you like, in this case it’s music. Studying music, mastering music instrument, everything about music.

Well, that’s all for today. Happy playing music, Maders!

Flower from A Male Singer

Hullo, Maders! Wow it’s been very long time since I wrote something here last time. I was busy with campus' stuff because master degree isn’t as easy as bachelor degree. I needed to do many essays and researches. Well, now I’m having holiday till next February. I’ll focus to write things happened in my life xD enjoy!

Last Saturday night, there was a party at school where I teach. Some singers sang while my students and other people danced in front of the stage. I saw a piano (a keyboard actually) and I wanted to play, so I asked one of the singers’ permission to let me in. He said yes and I needed to wait one more song. After one song done, he didn’t let me play yet and said I had to wait for another song. The interruption continued when Mommy Salma having a birthday and everyone congratulated her.

I hardly lost my patience and Dad asked me to go home soon because I was there with him. It’s almost midnight anyway, bedtime. When I waited for Dad’s car near the parking area, the singer called my name. I heard it! I ran quickly to the stage by bringing my red girly bag and a calendar. I said to the singer, “me! Me! Here!”

The people looked at me but I didn’t care. All I wanted was to play piano on the stage. I had difficulty to come up because the stage was a meter high. Then, suddenly, A HANDSOME SINGER (man) gave me his hand. Rather sweaty actually haha. He has fair skin and I knew he is the most handsome singer there, he wasn’t the one calling my name. Different.

I blushed because we held hands for a second then I grabbed the piano. I presented the song for my students, I spoke it through a microphone. Then I played. In the very beginning of melody, the handsome singer gave me (real) flower. I got nervous and it distracted my concentration. Honestly, I didn’t play the piano very well, moderate I’d say!

The girls screamed out loud when the handsome singer took my hand and gave me flower. The day after, my students said that I broke other girls’ heart by taking the flower from the most handsome singer on the stage. I laughed and felt grateful. That’s what I called rezeki and not my fault at all. Thank you for the flower, Habib Alwi! He is Habib because of his Arabic blood.

Have a nice day, Maders!
