BRT Trans Semarang

Hi, Maders! Do you usually take a bus or drive your own ride? Honestly I mostly drive either a car or a motorcycle. This time, I want to share my experience about catching a bus to explore my city, Semarang. Haha. Actually I just went to a book fair, so it’s not really exploring the city.

Dad took me to the shelter with his car because he was about to go to the bank. I planned to accompany him to the bank first then I went downtown with the bus, but it was cancelled. There’s a ready bus, so I needed to catch it fast. Finally Dad went to the bank without me.

After buying the ticket for 3500k, I got in the bus. I still felt confused about the route, so I asked the bus conductor. I only had to pay once for going to my destination although I took three different buses because of the transit.

In another shelter, a girl offered me to have a bus card. It’s Semarang Hebat card from BNI. I need to top it up and save some money to the card, so I don’t need cash money for paying the bus the next time. It’s useful enough I think. I bought the card for 20k and the card contained 10k.

I’d like to tell you how I felt towards the bus. In my opinion, the bus was comfortable enough when it’s not full of people. The air conditioner ran well and it’s cold, even colder than my cars. Haha. The bus belonged to Mercedes Benz, but there were many scratches inside the bus, so it decreased the beauty of it.

Going with bus is fun when you’re not in a rush. I will take a bus when I’m lazy to drive and have free time to go to the destination. Seriously, I had better memorize the number of the buses with their routes. There are 6 buses with different ways. I need to, at least, understand where I go and the bus I take.

The things that I don’t like about the shelter are the chairs and the crowd. The chairs should have been bigger. My ass feels hurt when the chair is too small because it is like two cylinders. Haha. Sorry. Many students take the same bus like me when they are going home from school. Sometimes it’s too crowded to be with them. It’s okay though.

If I may say, you need to take care of your things. Be careful! Yeah I know it’s safe to take BRT but it’s not a sin to be aware of the pickpockets. Praying is also important. You don’t know what will happen with you while taking the bus. Only God can save and protect you from something bad.

Lastly, I recommend you to take public transportation more often. Leave your car or motorcycle in order to decrease traffic jam. Even you can economize your money to buy fuel. I met new people and talked to them and it’s a good way to make friends. Public, like its name, puts you in a society to gather around with people. We’re not alone living in this world. We always need others. See you, Maders!
