Andrew's at My House part 1

Hello, Maders! Remember the boy in blue I’ve ever talked about? He’s Andrew, a Tuntanger that I knew when I did my voluntary program a couple months ago. Last Saturday, he came to my house. Yeah! His family brought him to sleep over with me.

Andrew and I had planned this visit for a long time and he fulfilled his promise last weekend. Haha. I was so excited! He’s the closest boy I had in the village.

After Andrew’s family went back home, Andrew and I had fun at Pla Play Semarang Town Square (SETOS). We played five games there. For opening, I chose Pendulum. We felt sick of it because it swung us back and forth. Haha. FYI, Tagada was the craziest and the funnest. We were turned around at a certain speed in a big bowl. We felt like throwing up!

Next, we ate at McDonald’s ordering Happy Meals and we got two toys, Jumping Mario Bross and Luigi. Andrew treated me and gave me those toys. So kind! Those are mine now.

Later on, we played at Game Fantasia Citraland. He and I danced at Danz Base and I let him play others as well with my card. We together topped up my card with our money.

Tired! We went back home, but bought drinks at Indomaret on the way. I drove Marion (my car) with enjoyment. He sat next to me and felt sleepy. Haha.

In my house, I took a bath first but Andrew’s in bed already with his phone. We talked and made jokes before taking a nap. Haha. I hugged Anjun (the teddy given by Andrew) when I slept.

At night, we woke up and he took a bath. I brushed my hair while waiting for him. Then, we had dinner with seblak. There’s a seller in front of my house. After that, we took a walk around my housing and enjoyed sitting down at my house’s porch.

Larissa Hair Treatment

Hey, Maders! I’m gonna talk about hair treatment this time. For boys, I apologize if you’re used to with this topic as you don’t go to salon every month like me. But girls, you need to listen carefully. Haha.

I go to Larissa once a month to get hair treatment. It’s like cream-bath at salon but a little bit different because of the treatment. I like going there and it’s near my grandparents’ house. The price for hair treatment is around 65k.

On the other hand, I go to a ‘real’ salon every four months to dye my hair or to get my hair cut. It’s nice to have this kind of activity because I feel relaxed. You know, I’ve been making my final project at campus, so I have a lot of pressure.

For daily treatment, I use Larissa’s products for my hair. There are shampoo, hair tonic, hair serum, and sometimes hair conditioner. It’s from tea tree because I need to remove my dandruff (if only I have). There are other kinds of those treatments and you had better choose based on your need.

Okay, now, I’d tell you the process of hair treatment at Larissa. Firstly, you take a queue number by clicking on a computer. Then, wait for a while until the customer service calls your number. You step forward and choose what treatment you will have. If you’re already a member, you don’t need to fill in a form. After that, you go back to your seat and wait a therapist calls your name. Next, you go inside in the treatment room.

You’ll be provided a cloth and a bag. You need to change your outfit. Then, your hair will be washed. The therapist will put lime and lidah buaya to your hair and she will say sorry if it hurts.

The next is giving cream to your hair and massages. It’s the best part FYI. Haha. Next, your hair will be steamed hot and cold. Then, she wil wash your hair and dry it. The process is done and it’s time to change your outfit. Oh yes, you’ll be given bread and drink while having the treatment.

Doctor Strange

Hey, Maders! Happy weekend to all of you! Did you go out with someone? Haha. I watched Doctor Strange at XXI Citraland that I’m going to review this time.

Firstly, I had super supreme cheesy bites pizza for dinner and I bought Chatime Milk Tea with Pearl. I couldn’t bring the drink inside so I just drank a bottle of mineral water.

I watched Doctor Strange at 9.20 pm which was very late and I got seats in F’s row. I sat in the corner. The beginning of the movie was a bit scary and mysterious but I love it because it’s Marvel’s.

Doctor Strange has a big ego and he feels knowing everything and the world seems all about him. He’s a cool surgeon with magical hands that can heal people.

Someday, he gets an accident while driving his car in maximum speed. It’s because he’s reading his phone while driving. Don’t copy that! You know the danger of this action. Stop texting while driving!

As a result, he can’t do surgery because his hands are always shaking. Next, he tries to find cure because medical healing doesn’t work. He goes to a country, so far.

As long as he’s there, he’s been taught by a teacher, a woman. I love her because she’s Tilda Swinton, the White Witch in Narnia. Haha. She gets bald! OMG!

In short, Doctor Strange is supposed to surrender and decrease his ego. He has not known many things and he is nothing in this big universe. So far, Doctor Strange always thinks that he is the one and people admire him for his intelligence.

The moral value that I’ve got by watching this movie is that we don’t have to think we’re big and powerful although we’re a boss and has fans. We’re still nothing, I mean a small creature, in this universe. So, don’t underestimate others and keep doing positive. Have a good day, Maders!

Narnia on Newspaper

Hi, Maders! Welcome back again with me Malia. I tell you my favorite, absolutely Narnia! It’s a magical country in somewhere and the reason why I love it is because there are two brothers there and I’d like to be their sister. Haha.

A couple days ago, my mom found Narnia on newspaper. She put it on my bed and I got surprised when I woke up. Well, thanks, Mom! My family and friends know that I’m crazy about Narnia.

After reading the news, I felt like going to Finland because Narnia is there. Finland in winter is exactly like Narnia in the movie. I saw the forest and the trees under the snow. Very cool!

The journalist told me everything she did in Finland and I got jealous. Haha. For sure! She had a great time with her friends there. From what I read, she needed 17 hours to fly from Indonesia.

Someday I’d like to go abroad and write stories about the countries I visit. Ameen! For now, I only write about my daily life and what happens to me. I try to share my experience and my perspective in seeing something. In fact, I criticize a few things ahead of me.

When I grow up, I imagine having a business. Any business. It could be a restaurant, a hotel, or else. I’d put Narnia as the name of my business. Perhaps with my name a bit, for instance ‘Manarnia’. What do you think?

To be honest, Narnia has been the part of my life because I use Narnia Library to name the collection of my books. I have a hundred of them at home and I think I need a name for my library. That’s why I use Narnia.

I will scream or be truly happy if I see the word ‘Narnia’ anywhere. When my friends know something about Narnia, they will tell me about it. Some of them will text me when there is Narnia on a television channel.

So, whatever you like, whatsoever you love, let it be your inspiration. Your favorite thing would support you in every single occasion. I’ve got Narnia novels as my final project and few friends haven’t found their topic of final project because they don’t really have a favorite novel. See ya!

Having Brunch at Cibiuk Bekasi

Hello, Maders! This is the last story about exploring Bekasi. Yeah, I was writing about my Saturday night and now I’m writing about having brunch at a Sundanese restaurant.

The name’s so unique and cute. Overall, I love the atmosphere because it’s traditionally clean. The food is tasty, don’t worry. Some celebrities have ever eaten there and one of them was Farah Quinn! OMG I’m her fans. She inspires me to have an ideal body and excellent in English. Haha.

I was about to order fried rice but my cousin had ordered combo packet for all. It’s faster and easier. I usually order a fried rice or noodle to any restaurant because they’re my favorites.

While waiting for the food, I went to the restroom and my nephew showed me the way because he’s familiar with this restaurant. Moreover, his girlfriend’s house is not far from here. Haha. Lovebirds!

Then it’s time to enjoy the meal and everyone rarely talked while eating. I took a picture to show you here after I finished eating. I try to minimalize doing selfie because my face is not really attractive. Haha. I prefer taking objects to be my photographs.

Since I have an iPad, I always take pictures using it because it’s simple to bring. I haven’t had a DSLR camera and hopefully soon because I’m learning photography right now. The camera of my iPad is the best than my iPhone and my MacBook.

Okay, we all directly went to the airport because my family had to check-in soon. Nobody knew what would happen on the road because it’s Sunday. Traffic could be crazy!

Finally, my family and I said goodbye to my cousin’s family and I would be glad if they visit my house someday. One of my cousin’s sons has been studying in Semarang, but he hasn’t come to visit yet because he said he’s busy. Well, let’s see for the next!

I arrived in Semarang safely and it only took less than an hour in the air. I went home with Marion because it’s parked in the airport for three days.
