Problems in Learning English

Nowadays, English becomes a very important language which is used by many people all around the world. If we can master English, we can master the world because we can understand what people say or write. It is the reason why we study English in school. Those who are not native speakers may have problem in learning English. There are several problems they face while learning that foreign language.

Firstly, it is about environment problem. The surrounding affects the way how they speak. If people around them speak with their native language, such as Bahasa, they will be familiar with it than English. People only find English words in public places that sometimes they seldom go there.

Secondly, the problem is about habit. It will be different for those who speak with English everyday than those who speak a little English. When people are used to using English, they will get intimate with it. One of the ways to improve the quality of English is reading. Reading habit seems strange for Indonesians, so we need to make them love reading.

Thirdly, the problem comes from themselves which is shame. Basically they know English, and want to speak with it in front of people, but they feel shy. It will decrease their speaking quality because they seldom use it. Because speaking English is better being practised, we need to speak with it as much as possible.

The last problem according to me is laziness. Before speaking, we need to read first. If people are lazy to read, then they have nothing to say. It happens also to their speaking ability. If they are lazy to speak, they cannot increase their pronunciation. We cannot know whether we are already correct in pronounce something or not if we never say it.

As a conclusion, we can conclude that English is very important to learn, and people may have some problems while studying it. We can minimalize those problems with practice. The source for studying English is a lot in our environment even we can study English online through internet. It depends to us whether we seriously want study English or not.
